This allows you to have a London cityscape background featuring the magnificent dome of St Paul’s Cathedral. When we photograph the Millennium Bridge, we ask the person to stand at the side of the bridge and lean on the handrail. The reason we do this is that the Millennium Bridge is a very popular bridge for crossing the River Thames on foot. Holding the handrail allows the person to keep their position and not have people wandering in front of the corporate portrait photographer and their subject. Another benefit of having St Paul’s Cathedral in the background is that it is known worldwide as a London landmark and therefore shows that the person works in London.
Another top London cityscape background for your corporate headshot is being in The City. This is London’s historic financial district, also known as The “Square Mile”. It is a very busy, thriving area with new and old buildings. Some of our clients want to be photographed near their offices or favourite building, which is fine. Still, once you are in the City, you can not see buildings from a distance, so it can be tricky for the viewer to determine where the corporate headshot was captured. If you know The City well, you will see that the second sample below was taken with Cornhill in the background, but to the ordinary person, it’s not as recognisable as St Paul’s Cathedral.
The last top London cityscape background for your corporate headshot is More London. It is less well-known than the other two locations, but it is a great spot to capture your new corporate headshot. The real benefit here is that you are on the other side of the River Thames and, therefore, get a great view of The City in the background. More London is a peaceful area compared to the other two options, and this can make the sitter feel much more relaxed, and therefore, you get a better corporate headshot.
