On average, 75% of our headshot commissions are captured in our client’s London offices. This is mainly because businesses do not want their staff and directors travelling across London to a studio and losing valuable working hours away from their desks. So we have a mobile studio set up that we bring to the client. The kit contains a pro digital camera with a portrait lens, pop up background which is self-supporting and a selection of studio lights, stands and reflectors.

Setting up the mobile studio takes around 10 mins, and we have not found an office yet that we could not do this in. Now we are reading to start capturing your corporate headshots with a minimum of disruption to your business. We ask for 5-10 mins per person, and this also allows for changeovers. We tend to take a few test shots for each person and then show the headshot on the camera’s back. This relaxes people, and then we spend the rest of the slot capturing a range of corporate headshots, so you have a wide selection to choose from. Typically we take shots from both sides, i.e. turning to the left and right with a range of expressions and head positions. Throughout the process, we refer back to double-check we have a consistent look and feel to the headshots and discuss any special requirements individuals need addressing as we are capturing their headshots or adjusting in post-production.

Breaking the mobile studio down takes around 10 mins and then we download the images, and the job is put into post-production. Here we address any images that are not sharp of not usable and then balance and process the files, so they are named and numbered correctly. We then create a batch of high res images and a duplicate set of low res preview images. We then email our invoice and the preview set to the client and on payment we send over a link with the high res versions ready for download.
Following on, we ask the client to select their favourite corporate headshots for each person, retouch and airbrush any defects etc. and crop to the required format and add any preferred backgrounds.
